Bracket Progress Report
Posted on November 30 2016
The 4" bracket samples came in and they look good. Initially the metal bars were going to be nickel plated steel but we've upgraded it to Stainless. The nickel plated process was too time consuming and could lead to problems long term due to wear and tear. Stainless Steel will not have that problem. It's slightly more expensive but you're worth it.
Below are first samples of the 4" bracket. The blue film is a layer that comes on the steel to avoid scratches. I've instructed the factory to remove the film before injection. It's just too difficult to remove afterwards due to a few millimeters being covered during the injection process.
One of the design upgrades made earlier this year can be seen below. Now when you stack several brackets to the desired length the top one can be rotated 180 degrees, eliminating any tabs protruding from the top.
